REVIEW: OLAY REGENERIST ADVANCED CLEANSING SYSTEM

Hey beauties, today I'll be doing a review on what I like to say is an amazing dupe for the Clarisonic and that is the, OLAY Regenerist Advanced Cleansing System. The Clarisonic has been on my wish list for quite some time now, but the price is a little out of budget for me. I heard and read a lot of mixed reviews on the Clarisonic so I wasn't sure if I should spend that pricey amount of money on a product that potentially might not be worth it. So long-story-short, I saw The Olay cleansing system in Priceline and thought I will give it a try and I'm so glad I did. This is not a comparison review between the two products that I mentioned as I have never use the Clarisonic before. If you have used the Clarisonic before and have blog post on it, please feel free to link it down below for others who are wanting to buy either of those products to have a read (sharing is caring☺).

I've been using the Olay Cleansing System for about three months and boy oh boy this device has been doing wonders to my skin! I purchased this at Priceline for $25.99 AUD on sale and the actual retailed price was $32.49 AUD. The pack comes with the facial cleaning device, skin renewal cleanser (20ml) as well as AA batteries. I haven't use cleanser that was included because I wanted to save it for when I go travelling as it's small and easy to carry with me. The cleanser that I'm using alongside with the cleansing device is the Dove go fresh citrus facial cleanser for oily skin, the two products together have been working just great for my skin. I usually use the device when I'm in the shower and I only use this 3 times a week; especially on those days after long day of wearing make-up. I'd recommend only to use this 2-3 times a week(once a day) because if you overuse this, it will potentially results in drying out your skin and breaking you out.

(BEFORE)

(AFTER)

These images that were taken after I've used the device and you can see how gross it looked! The cleansing system helps removes my make-up, oil, dirt and clear all those yucky stuff out of my pores. It has two settings (high and low) and I usually just use the high setting to really exfoliate my skin (try to avoid pressing the brush onto your skin, let it glides against your skin). I use this around my forehead, cheeks, nose and my chin (avoiding eye area for obvious reasons) for about 60 seconds. After using this, I noticed that my skin feels so much smoother and looks glowy! The results after using this device shows that my skin is much more tighter, my pores are smaller and my acne scars has gradually faded. I love going to bed knowing that my skin is squeaky-clean and feels fresher. This review reminds me that I need to go out and get another brush head. You should really change the head every 3-5 months. The brush helps mildly exfoliate the skin without producing irritation. The only criticism about this device would be that I wished that it's rechargeable instead of having to change the batteries. I find the batteries are inconvenient as when they are half way through their batteries life, the speed won't be as effective to when the batteries were new.

Overall, I'd definitely recommend giving this product a go before purchasing the Clarisonic. I need to highlight the fact that what works for me may not work for you.Try it out yourself and see the difference. The price compared to the Clarisonic, the Olay Cleansing System is defintely a good steal! I am super pleased with the results and i don't see myself needing to buy the Clarisonic anytime soon.
