♥Thankful for Blogger Friends TAG!♥

Hey you pretty people! Today, I will be doing another tag post for you all. I think they are super fun and it gives you an insight of the blogger. This particular tag was created by one of my faves, Karen from KPsays. If you haven't check out her blog yet, you should really do so, because Karen is a great beauty blogger and she's just an all-round wonderful person. I was actually tagged by the lovely Hope from Beauty & Bliss to do this tag [Go check out Hope's blog too as she's currently doing a Craftin' for Christmas Series]. I'm so excited to do this cause I thought this tag is so meaningful and Karen came up with some amazing questions (14 question about your blog and 14 questions about you☺) for us to answer. So, let's jump straight into the questions!..

ABOUT YOUR BLOG (Please be specific in your answers, so we can all learn something!):
  1. How long have you been blogging? I started blogging on the 23rd of September with my first post being an "Herro Spring" OOTD post. Soo..I've been blogging for a little over two months![Woohoo!!]
  2. Are there any bloggers who helped you out/encouraged you when you first started your blog? Hands down it was my blogger bestie, Cali from Cali Jae that encouraged me and helped me out when I started blogging. We connected through Instagram and at that time, I was planning on starting a blog and I saw that she has her own blog going. From then on, the rest was history haha. She has been there for me since the get-go and she's always so helpful. I can't thank her enough! [Thankyouu Twinny! :P]
  3. What Social Media has given you the most traffic to your blog?  Is there a platform that you don’t use? I would say Twitter and Google+. My Instagram is where you get to see my fashion illustrations and quotes inspiration as captions. I do have a Pinterest account and Facebook but I haven't been consistent in posting on there. Oops. *smack hand*.. Bare with me guys!
  4. How often do you post?  Do you have a regular schedule? I am still figuring out my schedule. At the moment, I'm on Summer holidays so I am hoping to get better at posting more often!
  5. Where do you blog? Usually in my room on my desk. ☺
  6. What camera do you use?  What photo editing software do you use? I have a Lumix Panasonic DMC-TZ8 camera and I recently received a Nikon D3200 as my early Christmas present [Yayy!! Thanks mum and dad!♥] which I am still experimenting with.In terms of editing software, I mainly use Adobe Photoshop.
  7. How did you come up with your blog name? I knew I wanted my initials [NY] to be in the name cause I love my initials- it's catchy, you know NY, New York? No?.. New York is one of the many places I want to visit one day..Shhh..I secretly think it's me when people wear those I ♥ NY t-shirts. Long story short, 'Yours Truly, NY' was born.
  8. Do you do any regular “series” posts on your blog? No.. I did start doing D&Ms with NY series in the beginning which focuses more on lifestyle topics. I need to bring it back and be more consistent with it.
  9. What draws you to a blog? The layout and the "tone" of the post to me is very important. Especially the tone. I don't want to be reading something that is like an essay. I want to get a feel of the blogger's personality, not their writing skills. Of course, clear and well photographed images are appreciated as well. 
  10. What turns you off of a blog? Oooh..this might be a little harsh but lots of spelling mistakes is such a turn off! Okay, I'm not perfect and I probably have many grammar mistakes but I do double and triple checked my posts before publishing it. When there's a spelling mistake, there's a little red, squiggly line that indicates that..so right-click it and FIX IT. It's pretty silly and shows that the person's effort and doesn't care what they post on their blog.
  11. How many blogs do you subscribe to? Are they all beauty related? Oh holy moly, I'm currently subcribed to 110 blogs! Not all are beauty though, half are fashion and some lifestyle blogs.
  12. When do you generally read blogs? Well, I'm currently blogging at 11:05PM [Aussie Time]. I am a night owl, I work better at night. Yeah,I mainly read blogs at night time when I'm not blogging and some during the day when I have time.
  13. What is your favorite type of post, and why? I personally enjoy reading tag posts because they allow us to learn more about the blogger. Reviews and monthly favourites are great to read too, to find new products to try.
  14. What is your least favorite type of post, and why? I honestly can't think of any type of post that I dislike to read as of yet. I'm open to reading different type of post.

  1. Where do you live? Tell us a bit about your city! I'm currently living in a small town about two hours outside of Melbourne,Australia. Next year, I will be living in the beautiful city of Melbourne [Yayy!].☺
  2. What about your home? My house is just an ordinary house in the town. Opposite my house, there's a huge block of land. You'd think I live on a farm but nope.
  3. Single or taken? I'm very single and ready to mingle!...No.Seriously. Where is my Prince Charming?!
  4. Do you have children? ^Nope.
  5. Do you have pets? Yes, I have two gold fishes and a very handsome, adorable dog named Twinkle. He's a Chihuahua X Pomeranian♥
  6. Do you have a “day job”? I'm working part-time as a waitress at the moment.
  7. How tall are you? I believe I'm 5'4.
  8. Do you have siblings? I have an older brother named Nicholas. He's three years older than me and is an aspiring doctor.☺
  9. 3 words to describe yourself. Kind.Creative.Quiet
  10. Who is your style icon, and why? Lauren Conrad, hands down! I love her style- casual,chic,feminine and classy- all in one!
  11. 3 favorite bands/musicians. Taylor Swift, Jason Derulo and Luke Conrad.
  12. 3 favorite movies. Umm..Pitch Perfect, About Time and my newly favorite, Catching Fire!
  13. 3 favorite books. L.A Candy series (counting that as one), Twilight, The Best of Me
  14. 3 random/weird facts about you. I collect anything to do with the Eiffel Tower. I can sleep on my back, I used to be in the choir but I can't sing...
